On October 15, 2025, Wuxi Youfang Electric Co., Ltd. completed the production of the first finished cable for the "Research on the Development and Batch Preparation Technology of Ultra Large Current High Magnetic Field Superconducting Special Cable for Nuclear Fusion Engineering" project, which is a deep cooperation between Wuxi Youfang Electric Co., Ltd. and the Southwest Institute of Nuclear Physics of China National Nuclear Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "CNNC"); After a two-week testing period, the test was successfully passed on October 31, 2025.
The technical parameters of the finished cable delivered by the company this time can be fully compared with foreign products, with a line loss index of<3.2%, which is better than<5% of foreign products, and has achieved mass production of a single length of 460 meters. Meet the research needs of China National Nuclear Corporation's new generation magnetic confinement testing device for superconducting special cables.
